What documents do I need for MISA registration?

How has the 2025 Investment Law changed MISA registration?

The updated Investment Law (February 2025) streamlined the process significantly. It replaces traditional licensing with a simpler registration system, eliminates distinction between Saudi and foreign investors, and allows 100% foreign ownership in most sectors. However, the Arabic translation requirement is unchanged, all documents must still be in Arabic or accompanied by certified translation.

Do I need to apostille documents for MISA?

Yes, Saudi Arabia joined the Hague Apostille Convention in December 2022. UK documents need an FCDO apostille (the UK Foreign Office authentication stamp), which replaced the previous Saudi Embassy legalisation requirement. Saudi law requires a legal translator certified by the Kingdom when a foreigner carries out transactions before the Notary Public. POAs are valid for 5 years.
