The Skills We Look For

Professional Translators

  • Native speaker of the language you translate into, with excellent English
  • A relevant translation qualification (ideally ITI or CIOL membership)
  • Specialist knowledge of legal, medical, technical or business translation
  • At least 3 years working as a professional translator
  • Confident use of CAT tools such as Trados, MemoQ or similar

Professional Interpreters

  • Native speaker with excellent English as well
  • Recognised interpreting qualifications (ideally DPSI or NRPSI registration)
  • Experience in legal, medical, or business interpreting
  • Able to take on-site jobs around the UK (Cardiff, London, Manchester, Birmingham)
  • Experience of remote interpreting platforms for video or telephone work

Initial Review

We will look at your application and qualifications and reply within 5-7 business days.

Translation Test

If we take you forward, you will do a short translation test in your specialist area, so we can judge quality and make sure we suit each other.

Onboarding

After approval, we send you our guidelines for translators and interpreters, details of our rates and a login to our project management system.
